Description: A butterfly resting on a metallic surface, wings spread out. The focus of the lens is on the insect, leaving the surroundings blurred and out of focus. The butterfly is almost entirely symmetrical, aside from one leg that is slightly off center. The surroundings are filled with plant life and a fence-like structure. Interpretation: The butterfly appears to be looking head on into the camera, the emotional focus seems to be on the insect. Theorization: It's almost as if the viewer is looking directly at the butterfly and is being acknowledged in return. Considering the butterfly does not seem to be intimidated, it's almost reflecting a beautiful confidence by neither flying nor turning away. Judgement: I really enjoy the focus on the butterfly from a head on perspective. There's a lot more that could be read into it in many ways, as well.
Description: there is a butterfly in the center of the image; there is some kind of object it is sitting on; the butterfly is facing the camera; it is in black and white; everything is blurry except for the butterfly.
Interpretation: The butterfly is sitting on a chair; there is greenery in the background; the wings make a heart; the butterfly, the curly design of the chair, as well as the greenery in the background give the image a fantasy-like, imaginary feeling; looks like mushrooms in the background.
Theorize: The butterfly is looking at the viewer, inviting us to come play; looks like its in another world.
Judge: I like this image because of its fantasy qualities.
